Privacy Policy

Plain-English version: we do not collect, store, or share your grades. Everything happens in your browser.

Last updated: May 1, 2026

1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, transcript, grades, courses, credits, or any other personal information through the calculators. The calculators run entirely in your browser using JavaScript; the inputs you type are processed locally and never sent to our servers.

2. Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider receives standard server logs containing your IP address, the page you requested, your browser user-agent, and the referring URL. These logs are kept for diagnostic and security purposes for up to 30 days and are never linked to you personally.

We use a privacy-respecting analytics layer (no third-party cookies, no fingerprinting) to count anonymized page views. We can see "100 people visited the homepage today"; we cannot see who you are or what you typed.

3. Cookies

We do not set first-party tracking cookies. Cloudflare (our content-delivery network) may set short-lived security cookies to mitigate bot traffic; these expire automatically and contain no personal data. If we display advertising in the future, those ad networks may set their own cookies — see Section 6.

4. Local storage

Some calculators may use your browser’s localStorage to remember preferences (for example, dark mode). This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us. You can clear it any time through your browser’s settings.

5. Children

The site is appropriate for all ages, including students under 13. Because we do not knowingly collect any personal information from any visitor — adult or child — we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by design. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please email [email protected] so we can investigate and delete it.

6. Advertising

To keep the site free, we may display advertising from Google AdSense or similar networks. Ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page (optout.networkadvertising.org) or through Google’s Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). EU/UK visitors may see a consent banner where required by GDPR.

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we do not collect personal data, there is typically nothing to access, correct, or delete — but we will confirm this in writing on request to [email protected].

8. Third-party links

Our blog and tool pages may link to external sites (universities, credentialing services, study guides). Those sites have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their practices.

9. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS with HSTS enforced. Static assets are hosted on a global content-delivery network. We do not run a database, do not maintain user accounts, and do not store form submissions.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for 30 days.
